Prodac – Bekaert will invest S/.2 million in the framework of Works for Tax Deductions

- The project developed in the framework of the Works for Tax Deductions Law will focus on repaving 10 800 m2 of Av. Tumbes and Av. Trujillo and will benefit 7500 residents of Mi Perú in Ventanilla, Callao.
- The high technology products used on the project, MeshTrack meshes and Dramix steel fiber, will extend the useful life of roads by three-fold.
As part of its commitment to society, Prodac – Bekaert will invest around S/. 2 million to repave Av. Tumbes and Av. Trujillo in the shanty town Nuestra Señora de Las Mercedes Mi Perú – Ventanilla, Callao, in the framework of the Works for Tax Deductions Law in the Municipality of Ventanilla.
The project consists of building 10 800 m2 of paved roads, sidewalks and contention walls, which will benefit around 7500 people. According to the evaluation conducted, this project will reduce traffic accidents and environmental contamination in the area, which will improve the quality of life and well being of the residents of Mi Perú.
This project will use around 20 tons of MeshTrack mesh and 10 tons of Dramix steel fiber, which are high-quality, cutting-edge technological solutions that will extend the useful life of repaved roads by three-fold. Improvements will be rolled out over three months and include putting together a technical study.
At the ceremony to sign the agreement, the Mayor of Ventanilla, Omar Marcos, and the Mayor of Mi Perú, Reynaldo Encalada, were present along with the Head of the Infrastructure Unit at Prodac, Daniel Masias, and the Commercial Manager of Prodac, Álvaro De la Puente.
The group Prodac – Bekaert is currently developing its first “works for tax deductions” project and reiterates its commitment to contribute to the community’s development while supporting initiatives that reduce the road infrastructure gap in Peru.
