PRODIMIN helps educate future graduates from the UNI for the sixth consecutive year
• PRODIMIN UNI VI University Meeting seeks to enrich the education of university students from the Schools of Geology, Mining and Metallurgy at the National University of Engineering.
• Over the last few years, Prodimin has trained more than 600 students from the UNI.
Prodimin renewed its commitment to the university community throughout the country by holding the University Meeting between PRODIMIN-UNI “Designing and Applying Concrete Reinforced with Steel Fiber” on November 27th, which trained more than 100 students from the School of Geological Engineering, Mining and Metallurgy of the National University of Engineering.
This meeting provided theoretical and practical knowledge on using concrete that has been reinforced with steel fiber in subterranean operations. The training sessions were conducted by Jhon Quijano, a professor from UNI; Marvin Vasquez, a technical advisor at QSI Industrial; Juan Alvarado, technical manager at Bekaert; and finally, by Hector Moreno, technical advisor at Prodimin. Future professionals were given practical training to correctly use concrete that has been reinforced with fiber. Practical sessions were held in the testing field that is sponsored by Prodimin at the embankment owned by FIGMM – UNI.
In is important to note that over the last few years, Prodimin has trained more than 600 students from the UNI on specialized mining topics to elevate the educational level or our country’s future engineers.
